AUDITIONS FOR NUTCRACKER SHOW - 2026

The School has begun preparations for its annual production of The Nutcracker.

The production will feature the original choreography of the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. With the exception of the principal soloist roles, the choreography is not overly difficult and will be adapted to the age and physical abilities of the children.

We invite children ages 4 and up to participate.

Auditions will be held at the Studio during regularly scheduled classes, according to age and level:

Pre-Ballet: ages 4–7
Ballet 1: age 7
Ballet 2: age 8
Ballet 3: age 9
…and continuing with the higher levels.

Alternatively, Mr. Valeri can evaluate students individually and determine the appropriate role.

Rehearsals for children ages 4–12 will be held on Saturdays from 10:00 AM until approximately 12:00 PM.

Located conveniently near I-5 at the Poinsettia exit in Carlsbad, North County Classical Ballet is dedicated to bringing the beauty of classical ballet to children and adults of all ages and experience levels in the North San Diego Coastal region. World-class teacher and choreographer Valeri Tchekachev leads the training according to the Vaganova Method.
